Lion Hill (stable name "Horace") has been with Stuart since March 2024. He is a fine young gelding from the same sire as stable favourite Hillfinch. Stuart reports he has slotted in well and is a precocious type for his age. He will come back into training in July 2024 and be aimed at a 3-year-old National Hunt Flat race in the early autumn and will then embark on races in the Junior National Hunt Hurdle Series, for horses that have never run on the flat.
A 6-year-old gelding. He has had an impressive 2024 point-to-point campaign , placing 3rd, 1st and 1st in races since March 2024. He will go into training with Stuart in July and start preparations for a hurdling campaign in the autumn. He was awarded a handicap mark of 98 after his 5th placing in a hot Novice Hurdle at Bangor in September 2024.
An 8-year-old mare who has been bought privately from Ireland to run for the Edmunds Racing Club in the 2024/25 season. She has run regularly and enjoys soft ground. She can run over hurdles or fences and is likely to be the Club's first chaser, being aimed at mare's novice handicap chases as the ground softens in the autumn. She has a handicap mark of 103 so will get into some good class races.
