Overview

The Edmunds Racing Club offers members the chance to experience the fun, anticipation and thrill of horseracing without the normal risks and expense of traditional racehorse ownership.

The Club will have no more than 36 members and will run 3 horses in Club colours. As at 1 July 2024 these are Court Cian, Knocknagappagh and Lion Hill ("Horace" who Club members have recently named Lion Hill).  You will fully experience the thrill of racehorse ownership at a fraction of the price paid by larger syndicates – allowing members to become involved as an “owner” in the sport.

The Racing Club fully complies with the British Horseracing Authority Shared Ownership Regulation “Racing Club Code of Conduct” which became effective on 1st May 2021.

As well as having fun and meeting fellow club members, membership benefits include:

  • guaranteed racecourse entry for the member and a guest, spending a day at the races to see your horses run.
  • owner's badges with full hospitality for owners.  If oversubscribed, a ballot will be used to determine allocation.
  • entrance into the parade ring before racing to meet the trainer (or his representative) and jockey.

  • a 36th share of the 80% of the netprize money won by Club horses paid to Club members.
